NAPLAN Grade 3 Preparation Tips
Preparing a child for any exam is a tough task.
And when it comes to preparing for a child for an exam which is not generally conducted by their schools, then good luck!
The mere mentioning of the word exam makes the children run away from their studies, especially the younger ones.
If your child is taking up NAPLAN grade 3 test, then here are some tips to help you with:
Teach and Play, go hand in hand: With younger kids, you cannot make them sit still for more than 5 minutes.
And this is why you should combat the situation with an interactive method.
Come with ideas that help your child play as well as they study.
Makeup stories or play a role-playing game that incorporates the study material.
Show them Videos: Children find it hard to understand the written matter. It is all gibberish to them.
To help them focus on their studies juggle their studying time with videos and written matter.
Grade 3 students are still developing, find bright and interactive videos for them to watch and learn.
Interactive Worksheets: If the generic methods for practising do not work on your child, print out some colourful NAPLAN practice tests for year 3 and hand them over to your child.
Furthermore, if you want to create your own practice test, then add some of your child’s favourite characters to the test to keep them engaged.
With tests and examinations, always remember that you need to make sure that your child understands the subject first.
Basic information and foundations for the subject should be strong.
