the year 2020 has been a really hard test for everyone. Many people consider this one of the worst years they have ever lived through. Honestly, I agree. It has been a tough year.
Speaking from a personal experience, the year has been very challenging. Although I have made some progress towards my most important life goals, many other aspects have worsened if not completely vanished. For example, I wanted to better my physical fitness, but guess what? The months in lockdown really made that difficult. Having to balance between life, work, and study while not having any physical barriers made it so that every day was a jumbled mess of stress and constant work.
But 2020 has not been all bad; Even though it seemed like it was, it acted as a filter to show the real side of people during hardships. And sometimes we can be surprised to find out who we really are. I have realized many difficult situations that I did not think that I could get through, were merely small obstacles that just needed patience and endurance.
I learned a lot this year. I learned how to deal with difficult people, angry people, emotional people, scared people, and many others, all by dealing with myself. However, I still have a lot to learn as there will always be room for improvement.
I read a funny tweet a few days back about how no one is saying that 2021 is going to be their year because they’re scared of how 2020 had turned out.
So, I will be the first to say. 2021 is going to be my year.
